ABOUT THE BOOK

Public Enemy #91 is a high-tension hockey romance centered around reputation, vulnerability, and what happens when pretending starts to feel dangerously real.

Alois MΓΌller has spent years becoming the player everyone thinks they know: the league villain, the headline, the problem, the enforcer fans love to fear.

Beatriz Ribeiro is the exact opposite β€” polished, strategic, composed, and determined to prove herself inside one of professional hockey’s most demanding organizations.

When a media scandal threatens the Minnesota Frosthawks, Bea is assigned to fix the one player who refuses to be managed.

The solution? A fake relationship nobody actually believes will work.

What starts as damage control quickly spirals into something far messier as staged appearances, forced proximity, and impossible chemistry begin blurring the line between performance and reality.

But beneath all the chaos, Public Enemy #91 explores something quieter: the loneliness that comes with being misunderstood, the exhaustion of carrying expectations, and the terrifying vulnerability of finally being truly seen by another person.

Set inside the expanding Minnesota Frosthawks branch of the interconnected Shots on Goal universe, this story combines media pressure, emotional intimacy, hockey-world realism, and explosive chemistry with a deeply emotional core.

At its heart, this book asks: What happens when the person hired to control the narrative becomes the only person who sees the truth?

A NOTE FROM KRISTEN

Writing Public Enemy #91 felt like returning home in the best possible way.

This book marked my return to the hockey romance world after years away, and Alois and Bea completely consumed me from the very beginning. Their story is loud and chaotic on the surface β€” fake dating, media disasters, hockey fights, press conferences, viral scandals β€” but underneath all of that is an intensely emotional story about loneliness, pressure, identity, and trust.

Alois carries the weight of being misunderstood everywhere he goes.
Bea carries the pressure of constantly needing to prove herself.
And together, they slowly become the safest place either of them has ever had.

This story also opened the door to the Minnesota Frosthawks expansion of the Shots on Goal universe, which made building this world even more exciting.

Thank you for loving these characters, this hockey world, and all of the emotional chaos that comes with it.
